Our Services
Our office has provided comprehensive orthodontic treatment in
Ann Arbor for over 30 years. We have seen virtually every type
of orthodontic and orthopedic challenge imaginable. We pride ourselves
in providing state-of-the-art treatment for our patients, using
the latest diagnostic techniques and treatment protocols. We focus
on the following:
Orthodontics:
We provide the spectrum of services
that you would expect in a first-class orthodontic office, including
the most sophisticated fixed and removable appliances. We strive
to treat all of our patients efficiently and effectively, and
we study the outcomes of our treatment to continually improve
our methods.
One treatment method we and our customers have grown to like is Invisalign, this treatment consists of a series of clear aligners used to treat mild to moderate orthodontic problems. The Invisalign system is custom-made to address each patient’s individual problems using a treatment plan devised by the orthodontist. Each aligner is individually manufactured with exact calculations to gradually shift your teeth into proper alignment.

Early Orthodontic Treatment:
The American Association
of Orthodontists recommends that children be seen by an orthodontist
by the age of seven or about the time of the eruption of the upper
front teeth. The purpose of an early visit is to evaluate whether
changes in the child’s skeletal patterns are needed. If
changes are indicated, we can plan to start at an ideal time (often
in the second through fourth grade). We monitor the growth and
development of our younger patients free of charge until they
are ready for treatment.
There are several advantages to early treatment. If detected early,
harmful habits can be corrected to avoid further and more extensive
treatment. Early treatment often eliminates the need to extract
permanent teeth. Treatment occurs when patients are most receptive,
reducing the need for more patient-compliant treatment during
the tumultuous high school years.
Adult Orthodontics:
Many people think that orthodontic
treatment is just for children. The truth is people of all ages,
including adolescents and adults, receive orthodontic care for
healthier teeth and gums, improved chewing from properly aligned
teeth, and increased confidence from esthetically pleasing teeth
and smile.
We provide a variety of treatment options, including “regular
braces”, selective use of “clear braces”, and Invisalign ®
Interdisciplinary Orthodontics:
We specialize
in the treatment of patients with complex orthodontic problems,
including those requiring corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery,
as well as periodontal, prosthodontic, or restorative care provided
by other specialists. The orthodontist often coordinates interdisciplinary
treatment provided by a number of dental specialists who work
together as a team. We are pleased to serve in that role in order
to make sure that our patients are receiving coordinated interdisciplinary
treatment, including the placement of dental implants.
